Protecting Your Kids Online

Today, it’s more likely that your kids would rather chat with their friends online than talk to them in person. The digital era is upon us, and upon our kids. It’s no longer the way it was when we were all kids; playing sports or hide-and-seek until dusk when your parents called you inside; or spending endless hours basking in the summer sun.

Years ago, our parents used to tell us about the “telltale signs” of a dangerous person and what situations we needed to be aware of. You remember – “Don’t talk to strangers”, “Don’t take candy from strangers”, “Don’t get in the car with anyone”, etc... Ahh, those were the days - a handful of things to watch out for in regards to your children’s safety. Such is certainly not the case today.
