In recent years the Long Island wine industry has grown from a few tiny vineyards to thousands of acres of wine grapes of many varieties. Long Island now hosts more than thirty wineries and more are emerging every year.

Our climate and soil have proven to be the ideal and Long Island is now producing wines of award winning quality and full, vibrant taste.

Most of the Long Island vineyards are on the east end of the Island in Suffolk County, New York, and a good many are on the North Fork - but we can't forget the ones that are on our South Fork.

For a really fun day trip take a tour of the Long island vineyards, while on tour you can see the beautiful east end landscape, taste and purchase award winning wines and take a tour of the production facilities in many of the vineyards. Or take a weekend and get to know the east end a little better - we have wonderful hotels and many adorable bed & breakfasts.
