Viola made four stops in the Seawolves 5-0 win over UMBC on Thursday before making six saves in SBU’s 2-0 victory at Vermont on Sunday. She leads the America East with 89 saves and has recorded shutouts in four of the last five games.
Unbeaten in its last five games, Stony Brook is 5-7-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the America East. SBU has outscored its opponents 11-1 during the five-game unbeaten streak.
The second-place Seawolves return to action on Thursday, Oct. 15, hosting first-place Boston University at LaValle Stadium in a rematch of last year’s America East title game. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
