Tula Kitchen, located at 41 East Main Street in Bay Shore. We went there tonight for the first time. All I can say is
“WOW”. The location is good with lots of parking nearby. They even had a few tables out front where you could eat outside. Ambiance, beautiful! Decorated very nicely. Candles burning
everywhere. Great bar, very inviting. Lots of seats with comfy
cushions.
Food, out of this world! Started with the complimentary pita
and chick pea plate that was served when we were seated. I asked our server
James what he recommended, and he immediately said I had to have the Coconut
& Almond Crusted Tilapia, served with red potatoes and mango avocado salsa.
What a great recommendation. I love tilapia and order it every chance I get.
This was very different, but in a good way! It was crunchy and oh so tasty.
The potatoes that accompanied it were crunchy and well done as well. Just as I
like them! My boyfriend had the Gemelli Shrimp Pasta dish with sundried
tomatoes, fresh spinach, calamata olives with feta cheese sauce. To say it was
delicious wouldn’t be doing it justice. Add to it the excellent service
delivered by James and this is MY NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT! Oh, did I mention
that they even have ½ bottles of wine available for $13.00?? We were too full
for dessert, and I wish we weren’t. The dessert menu looked sinfully delicious,
and if our dinner was any indication, I know that dessert would be the icing on
the cake!
What are you waiting for? Hurry up and get to Tula Kitchen. I promise you it will be your new favorite restaurant too.
